Inquisitive Leadership Training Programs

Inquisitive Leadership Training Programs

Inquisitive Leadership training programs are built around one transformative premise: the most effective leaders are not the ones with all the answers — they're the ones who ask the right questions.

Grounded in neuroscience and behavioral psychology, each program guides leaders at every level through the CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model - developing the mindset of Courageous Curiosity and the practical skills to build psychological safety, reduce unconscious bias, resolve conflict, and cultivate sustained high performance.

From a 60-minute awareness session to a 2-day executive immersion, each program is designed to meet leaders where they are and move them from transactional management to relational, results-driven leadership.

Core Mindset

Best for:

Leaders new to Inquisitive Leadership, team offsites, or as an introduction to a broader development journey.

Duration: 60 minutes

The most effective leaders aren't the ones with all the answers — they're the ones who ask the right questions.

This high-impact, one-hour session introduces the foundational mindset of Inquisitive Leadership: Courageous Curiosity. Designed for leaders at any level who are ready to move beyond transactional management, this session challenges the habit of "solving first" and replaces it with the proven power of asking better questions.

Participants will be introduced to the CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model and take a deep dive into its most critical foundation: Connection. Drawing on neuroscience research — including the role of oxytocin in trust-building and Amy Edmondson's work on Psychological Safety — this session reveals why the quality of a leader's relationships directly determines the performance of their team.

What you'll walk away with:

  • A clear understanding of the Courageous Curiosity mindset and why it transforms leadership effectiveness

  • An introduction to the full CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model: Connection, Assess, Value, Purpose, and Performance

  • A live practice experience using empathy-based questions with a peer

  • Access to the Inquisitive Leadership Self-Assessment as a personal take-home tool

  • One concrete question to ask your team this week

Framework
Exploration

Best for:

Leaders who have completed (or are ready to move beyond) the 60-minute session; leadership teams beginning a structured development program.

Duration: 90 minutes

Go deeper. Lead smarter.

Building on the Core Mindset session, this 90-minute program expands leaders' understanding of the full CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model and equips them with two essential communication pillars: Empathy and Listening for Clarity. This session is designed for leaders ready to apply curiosity with greater precision - asking not just warmer questions, but smarter ones.

A central focus of this session is assessment and bias. Leaders examine the Assess and Value steps of the model and confront the concept of Unconscious Sabotage — the subtle, often invisible ways a leader's preferences and assumptions distort how they see and evaluate the people they lead. The session also introduces a practical Conflict Resolution Formula that leaders can begin using immediately.

What you'll walk away with:

  • Mastery of the two communication pillars and a library of sample questions for each

  • A working understanding of how unconscious bias shapes leadership decisions

  • The three-part Conflict Resolution Formula, brought to life through a real-world case study

  • A deeper awareness of the four Inquisitive Leadership profile types, starting with the Task-Focused Leader

  • Renewed motivation to complete the full Self-Assessment

Skills
Application

Best for:

Leadership teams seeking practical skill-building; managers navigating real team challenges around performance, conflict, or engagement.

Duration: 3 hours (Half Day), including one break

Practice changes behavior. Knowledge alone doesn't.

This immersive three-hour program is where concepts become capabilities. The Skills Application session covers the full CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model in meaningful depth, devoting significant time to the two steps that challenge leaders most: Valuing People and Understanding Purpose. Through structured activities, real-play scenarios, and peer discussion, participants don't just learn Inquisitive Leadership -  they begin to live it.

A core feature of this session is the Purpose Alignment Activity, in which small groups surface and examine how well their personal "why" connects to their team's mission — and what to do when there's a gap. Participants also engage in immersive scenario practice focused on belonging, inclusion, and navigating defensive or disengaged team members using empathy and curiosity.

The session closes with a focus on Cultivating Performance - and the shift from managing tasks to building the trust, autonomy, and culture that produce lasting results.

What you'll walk away with:

  • Deep, applied understanding of all five steps of the CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model

  • Hands-on experience with real-play scenarios in inclusion, conflict, and motivation

  • A working knowledge of the Inquisitive Leader's High-Performance Formula (Trust → Autonomy → Results)

  • A personal Action Plan identifying the three specific behaviors you'll commit to based on your lowest-scoring assessment dimension

Behavioral
Mastery

Best for:

Senior leaders, high-potential managers, leadership cohorts, or any organization committed to building a culture of psychological safety and relational leadership from the inside out.

Duration: 6–7 hours (Full Day), including breaks and lunch

Transform how you lead - for good.

This comprehensive, full-day immersion is the definitive Inquisitive Leadership experience. Designed for leaders committed to lasting behavioral change, it weaves together the complete CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model, the Self-Assessment, real-play coaching, and a personal 90-Day Action Plan into a cohesive and transformative journey.

Over six to seven hours, participants move through five focused modules: building psychological safety through Connection; diagnosing bias and blind spots through Assess; navigating difficult conversations and exclusion through Value; aligning teams around a shared Purpose; and creating the conditions for sustained excellence through Performance. Each module moves fluidly between research-backed theory and high-impact practice.

The centerpiece of the full-day experience is two intensive Real Play scenarios - one focused on inclusion and emotional labor, one on high-stakes conflict resolution - both coached in real time by the facilitator. Leaders leave not just with new insights, but with new habits.

  • A personalized, scored Self-Assessment identifying your specific development dimensions

  • An accountability partner and continued momentum through internal mentorship

Architecting
High-Performing Cultures

Best for:

Executive leadership teams, C-suite offsites, or senior leader cohorts embarking on culture transformation initiatives.

Duration: 2 full days (approximately 15 hours of content)

Culture doesn't happen by accident. It's architected - one question at a time.

This exclusive two-day executive program is designed for C-Suite leaders, SVPs, VPs, and leaders of leaders who are ready to move from high-performing individuals to architects of high-performing organizations. Based on the Inquisitive Leadership book and powered by the CAPPP Advantage™ Performance Model, this program operates at the strategic level — not just how you lead, but how your leadership shapes systems, structures, and the culture experienced by every person in your organization.

Day 1 explores the strategic dimensions of curiosity: how Courageous Curiosity reduces risk and drives information flow at the executive level; how unconscious bias becomes systemic bias when it's unchallenged at the top; and how the decisions executives tolerate, reward, and ignore define psychological safety at scale. Through provocative discussions, peer coaching, and real-play scenarios, executives will examine the gap between the culture they intend and the culture they create.

Day 2 focuses on enterprise alignment and lasting impact: diagnosing the distance between a stated corporate purpose and its lived reality, mastering strategic delegation to build future leaders, and developing a portfolio of systems-mindset questions designed to challenge the organizational assumptions that quietly undermine innovation, retention, and growth.

What you'll walk away with:

  • A clear-eyed diagnosis of your organization's current psychological safety ecosystem

  • Tools and language to mandate and model relational leadership throughout every layer below you

  • The Talent Pipeline Inquiry framework for addressing systemic bias in hiring, promotion, and mentorship

  • Applied practice through the CAPPP Advantage™ Integration Challenge - a complex, multi-departmental case study

  • Three "Systemic Questions" to bring to your next leadership team meeting

  • A 90-Day Executive Action Plan, refined through peer coaching
